Privacy Policy

1. What is this privacy policy about?

The purpose of this privacy policy is to explain to you how Finder Spot collects, processes, protects, and uses your personal data, particularly in relation to the information provided on our websites.

2. Who is responsible for data processing?

Data processing responsible: Zhwa Zapata Morales, Farlifangstrasse 20, 8126 Zumikon, Switzerland. Email: [email protected]

3. For what purposes do we process your personal data?

We process personal data for the following purposes: providing our comparison services; transmitting your contact request to FINMA-regulated partners so that they can contact you — this is the main purpose of the form; communicating with you; operating, securing and improving our digital services; marketing and measurement (only with your consent); and complying with legal obligations.

4. Do we perform profiling or automated decision-making?

We perform an automated assessment of the requests submitted through the form (profiling) in order to prioritise and route them internally. Requests that do not meet our internal referral criteria may not be forwarded to partner companies. You have the right to have such an assessment reviewed by a person and to object to this processing at any time ([email protected]).

5. What specific data do we process?

We collect in particular: identification and contact data (first and last name, email address, phone number); details about your situation (year of birth, sex (optional), postal code/town, number of persons to insure, preferred contact time); details about your health insurance (current insurer, chosen deductible, supplementary coverages of interest); technical data (IP address, device and browser information, language); and internal assessments related to your request. We do not collect health data such as diagnoses or medical history.

6. To whom do we disclose your data?

Service providers (IT, marketing), FINMA-regulated partners (insurance companies and intermediaries), and Other third parties (Authorities).

7. Do we transfer data abroad?

Your form data is stored in a database in Zurich (Switzerland). For phone-number validation we use a specialised provider in Germany. We also use providers based in the USA: our hosting provider (hosting and web analytics), an IP-address geolocation service and — only with your marketing consent — Google, Meta and TikTok (advertising measurement). For transfers to the USA we rely on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified) or on the standard contractual clauses recognised by Switzerland (SCC).

8. What are your rights?

You have the right of access (response within 30 days), rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data delivery and portability (Art. 28 FADP). You may also object to any processing and withdraw consent at any time with future effect. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected] with proof of identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Use of cookies and similar technologies

When you use our services, technical data is stored in logs to ensure security. We also use cookies and analysis tools or pixels from external providers (such as Google or Meta) to statistically measure the use of our website and optimize our advertising campaigns. You can object to this in your browser settings or through our Cookie settings.

10. How long do we keep your data?

We store and process your data as long as it is legally required or necessary for the respective purpose.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy is not part of any contract. We reserve the right to adapt it at any time.

Notice: The valid privacy policy is the one written in German.
