Who is behind FinderSpot

FinderSpot is a service of Zhwa Zapata Morales, an independent Swiss sole proprietorship founded in 2023 and based in Zürich (UID CHE-431.687.104), created by Jose A. Zapata. We are not an insurance company and are not owned by any insurer.

How we work and where our data comes from

Our comparisons are based on the official health-insurance premiums published each year by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (BAG). We present this data neutrally, without favouring any insurer. FinderSpot offers an informational comparison to help you get oriented — it is not individual insurance advice. For a binding decision, please confirm the conditions with the insurer or a licensed advisor.

The founder: Jose A. Zapata

Jose A. Zapata is the founder of FinderSpot and the person behind its technology and its content. He arrived in Switzerland in 2016 and, like so many newcomers, discovered how hard it was to find anyone — or any website — that clearly explained how the Swiss health system and its insurance work, let alone in his own language. Years later, after working in the Swiss insurance industry in health-insurance marketing, he built the tool he wishes he had had when he arrived. FinderSpot's goal is twofold: to present the official premiums published by the FOPH/BAG neutrally, without favouring any insurer, and to connect people looking for information with certified health-insurance professionals who speak their language — in 16 languages — so that understanding the system or clearing up doubts becomes easy. Jose is not an insurance advisor: that personalised guidance is provided exclusively by partner companies regulated by FINMA.

A free service — how we fund it

FinderSpot's goal is to help you understand Swiss health insurance: we neutrally compare the official premiums published by the FOPH/BAG and, if you ask us to, we connect you with a certified professional (regulated by FINMA) who speaks your language to clear up your doubts.

That service is free for you. We fund it because partner companies pay to receive the contact requests you choose to send — so we never need to charge you or sell advertising. The person who calls you is a certified advisor from one of those partner companies, not a FinderSpot employee.

This does not change what you see: the premiums are the official FOPH/BAG figures, we do not favour any insurer, and you decide — no obligation, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

How we compare

The premiums we show are the official ones published every autumn by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH/BAG) for the following year. When the FOPH publishes them, we update our database and the comparator switches to the new year's premiums.

Results are ordered by price, cheapest first, based on your profile (age, postcode, deductible and model). No insurer can pay to rank higher or appear more often.
